Akshay’s Bhooth Bangla Exorcises Race 3 at Global Box Office in Just 28 Days
Bollywood’s latest horror-comedy sensation, Bhooth Bangla, has strong-armed its way past Salman Khan’s Race 3 at the worldwide box office. In its fourth week, Bhooth Bangla added ₹14.2 crore in India, bringing the domestic net total to ₹181.21 crore (₹213.82 crore gross). Overseas markets have contributed another ₹57.52 crore, pushing the 28-day global collections past the ₹271 crore mark.

As the film enters its fifth weekend, it’s poised to overtake the Hindi-dubbed versions of Kantara Chapter 1 (₹274.94 crore) and 2.0 (₹275 crore). The only biggie left in its crosshairs is Mission Mangal (₹287.18 crore), though that target may remain elusive.
On the home front, Akshay Kumar’s spooky romp has already surpassed Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang (₹181.03 crore) and is closing in on Ranveer Singh–Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani (₹184 crore) during its extended run.

Backed by a ₹120 crore budget, the film is produced under Cape of Good Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, showcasing Hindi cinema’s growing appetite for genre mashups.
