Devotional saga Krishnavataram Part 1 has defied its modest opening to notch up a key milestone. In just seven days, the Hardik Gajjar–helmed epic has crossed the ₹12 crore mark globally, vaulting into the Top 10 Hindi releases of 2026. Here’s a closer look at how word-of-mouth miracles can reshape a film’s fortunes.

From Slow Start to Steady Surge

When Krishnavataram premiered, its Day 1 tally of ₹42 lakh raised eyebrows. But glowing audience reactions and social media buzz fueled an upward trajectory. By Day 4, collections peaked at ₹3.5 crore, proving that mythological storytelling still resonates when crafted well.

Occupancy and Audience Connect

On Day 7, Krishnavataram played across 2,192 shows with a 16.5% occupancy rate. While this is a drop from the previous day’s 31.9%, it highlights a committed fan base ready to carry the film into its second weekend. Sustained footfalls could see it battling for a spot above the ninth-biggest grosser of the year, Assi.

Breaking into the 2026 Box Office Top 10

Thanks to its ₹12+ crore haul, Krishnavataram now ranks 10th among Hindi films in 2026 globally. It follows blockbusters like Dhurandhar 2 (₹1,834 crore) and Border 2 (₹485 crore). With theatres still screening the devotional drama, expect its final tally to climb further.

As family audiences and bhajan buffs continue flocking to see Lord Krishna’s on-screen journey, Krishnavataram Part 1 proves that spiritual epics can still strike a chord at the box office.
