Krishnavataram Part 1 Struggles to Reach Halfway Mark: Day 14 Box Office Report
Krishnavataram Part 1 opened to modest numbers, and its second week hasn’t delivered the boost producers hoped for. Despite a steady weekend hold, the spiritual drama has managed just 41% recovery of its reported ₹60 crore budget in 14 days, raising questions about its long-term potential.
Box Office Day 14 Update
The devotional saga collected a total of ₹24.72 crore (net) at the Indian box office over two weeks, translating to roughly ₹29.16 crore gross. While the drop from Week 1 to Week 2 was a moderate 17%, the initial figures were underwhelming to begin with.
Week 1 vs Week 2 Collections
- Week 1: ₹13.52 crore
- Week 2: ₹11.20 crore
- Total (14 days): ₹24.72 crore
Devotional films often gain momentum via word-of-mouth, but Krishnavataram hasn’t seen the upward tick needed to sustain big screen runs.
Budget and Recovery Status
With an estimated production cost of ₹60 crore, the film’s current recovery stands at 41.2%. The shortfall is around ₹35.28 crore (58.8%), and dwindling show counts in Week 3 suggest it may never break even in theatres.
Film Snapshot
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram Part 1 is produced by Creativeland Studios Entertainment and Athashrikatha Motion Pictures. The cast is led by Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti Jayana, Sushmitha Bhat, and Nivaashiyni Krishnan, bringing to life a visually rich journey into Lord Krishna’s world.
Looking Ahead
Unless a major festival or holiday brings back audiences, Krishnavataram Part 1 is likely to see a steep fall in collections in the coming days. For now, the film settles into an uncertain run, far from the runaway successes the devotional genre has produced in recent years.
