On its twentieth day, Patriot managed a modest net of ₹3 lakh, mirroring the flat trend seen over the past few days. Cumulative figures now stand at ₹31.58 crore (net), which translates to ₹37.26 crore gross in India when GST is included. These numbers highlight a sluggish run, particularly for a movie backed by a massive budget and a superstar ensemble.

Budget Recovery and Loss Projections

With just 25% of the 100-crore budget recouped domestically, the makers face a shortfall north of ₹68 crore. Overseas earnings have brought in ₹43.25 crore, pushing the global total to ₹80.51 crore—still shy of breaking even. Industry insiders suggest that ancillary revenues like satellite and digital rights may ease some losses, but theatrical returns remain disappointing.

Slipping from 2026’s Top 3 Malayalam Grossers

Patriot currently ranks third in India’s 2026 Malayalam box office chart, but it’s on the verge of being overtaken. Athiradi, with its steady performance, is closing in, while Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is eyeing a ₹50+ crore opening weekend. Soon, Patriot may drop to fourth place or lower.
