Raja Shivaji Day 2 Box Office: Riteish’s Epic Smashes Marathi Records
Raja Shivaji has taken Marathi cinema by storm, breaking opening week records within 48 hours of its release. Driven by Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial vision and an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Sachin Khedekar, the historical action drama has roared to a phenomenal start. The special appearance of Salman Khan surprised the fans.
Day 2 Box Office Surge
Early estimates from Sacnilk reveal that Raja Shivaji amassed between Rs.9–10 crore on its second day across Marathi and Hindi screens. This performance represents just a modest dip of 20% from the debut day haul of Rs.12.40 crore. Despite a slight reduction in screen count, audience enthusiasm remained sky-high, propelling the film’s two-day net to approximately Rs.21.40–22.40 crore domestically.
Neck-and-Neck with Dashavatar
Raja Shivaji is now inching close to matching the lifetime total of Dilip Prabhavalkar’s 2025 blockbuster Dashavatar. If the current momentum holds, it won’t be long before this period saga claims the top spot. Meanwhile, it has already overtaken Aga Aga Sunbai! Kay Mhantay Sasubai?’s total of Rs.8.97 crore, making it the second highest grosser of 2026 so far, trailing only Krantijyoti Vidyalay Marathi Madhyam with over Rs.28 crore.

In just two days, Raja Shivaji has rewritten Marathi box office history by surpassing these previous record-holders:
